As the crowning achievement of an unforgettable career, in 2016 Silvio Jermann was given the award in Rome by a jury of international journalists, chaired by Gambero Rosso, of the most representative producer of white wines in the world. An historic label for Silvio Jermann's wines as well as for Friuli Venezia Giulia, Pinot Grigio is 46 years old. The vinification in steel takes place partially in white, with a prolonged maceration on the skins which gives the wine an intense straw colour, tinged with light nuances of old rose. The many aromas distinctly lean towards the fruit, resting on a mineral background that makes the whole effect pleasant and persistent. The palate is soft but dry, supported by a precise acidity that completes the body in a harmonious way. A white wine that can certainly be drunk every day, combining it with fish and shellfish dishes, even with sauces, or with dishes from the land, especially mushrooms.
