TASTING NOTES

Pignoletto Frizzante Bonzarino is a sparkling white wine produced by the Tenuta Bonzara Company, part of the Colli Bolognesi DOCG. The Bonzara Estate is located a few kilometres from the busy city of Bologna, nestled in the hills of Emilia-Romagna. Within this area, which is particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines, Tenuta Bonzara has been producing quality wines for about sixty years, reflecting the love and passion for this territory of the Lambertini family, who own the estate. In this beautiful setting surrounded by greenery, since 2004 the well-kept estate has also become a perfect venue for weddings and private events, including corporate meetings and team building activities. Tenuta Bonzara produces a variety of labels: from wines produced with the classic native grapes, including Pignoletto (Grechetto Gentile), to international varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A kaleidoscopic assortment of wines, from the freshest and crispest varieties to more complex ones with a lingering finish. From the native Pignoletto grape, Tenuta Bonzara produces sparkling Bonzarino Pignoletto DOCG Colli Bolognesi. The harvest is manual, so that only those bunches capable of expressing freshness, as well as intensity of aroma, can be selected. A rather long pressure tank fermentation follows, according to the Charmat (Martinotti) method, with a subsequent medium period of laying on the lees. In the glass, Bonzarino has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it immediately expresses hints of green apple and white pulp fruit, with floral nuances. In the mouth it appears quite soft, but lively thanks to the presence of the bubbles and the acidity. Bonzarino is a fresh-tasting and incredibly pleasant wine with the typical and well-known characteristics of Pignoletto. Suitable for everyday consumption, it is ideal for aperitifs, but also goes well with fish or white meat dishes. Read more Read less

The end result can be appreciated in every glass of the wines of Emilia-Romagna that they are able to produce with love and dedication, to tell the best of themselves and the territory.
