The beginning of a great story. Tenuta Malavasi has been making agriculture its life choice for four generations and has carved out a role of increasing importance for wine over time. Today Daniele runs his family business, with the pride of those who love their reality: a young company, but already established. The Winery is located in the town of Pozzolengo with vineyards also in the nearby Desenzano del Garda surrounded by an enchanting scenery characterized by the sweetness of the morainic hills. Rosso Nero del Lago is made from 100% Petit Verdot grapes, which come exclusively from the Moscatello vineyard in the municipality of Pozzolengo on the morainic hills surrounding Lake Garda. The grapes are harvested when well ripe, followed by vinification in steel at controlled temperature and subsequent aging in glass for at least three months. Rosso Nero del Lago is presented to the glass with an intense ruby red color, with layered aromas that are allowed a little at a time: ripe fruit such as marasca cherry and plum, dried fruit such as dates and sultanas. The flavor is structured, savory, tannic but also of good freshness with a long aftertaste with warm notes of leather. This wine is perfect in combination with cold cuts, meat dishes and cheeses of short seasoning. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
