TASTING NOTES
Barbaresco Ovello is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from Cru Ovello in Barbaresco, which ferment in steel and age in French oak barrels for over 30 months and a few months in steel. It is then aged for 6 months in bottle. This Barbaresco has an intense garnet red color and the nose expresses a broad and composite bouquet, with spicy and fruity notes, on which stand out hints of cherry and ripe black cherry. In the mouth is dry, full, balanced, with excellent structure. The Barbaresco Ovello di Carlo Giacosa is excellent to drink in company during an important dinner, in combination with tasty meat dishes, such as a good roast boar. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 16/18 ºC.
