THE WINERYMasone Mannu
The north of Sardinia, an uncontaminated land where wind, sun and sea reign supreme, is home to the Masone Mannu farm. The beauty of this place captivated the owner of Tenuta Mara, in Romagna, convincing him to also acquire this winery in 2018. Since then, a process of conversion to biodynamic farming has begun, with the aim of further enhancing the uniqueness of the land.
In the local dialect, the name Masone Mannu means “large estate” and well describes the 60 hectares of the farm that extend into the heart of Gallura, framed by granite reliefs, rivers, oaks and typical Mediterranean maquis species. 19 hectares are planted with vines, whose yields are kept deliberately low and interventions limited, favouring manual and natural processing.
The same principles are also adopted within the Masone Mannu winery. The different stages of production are supervised by an expert team of technicians: from fermentation in stainless steel tanks to maturation in wooden barrels, each step gives the final product well-calibrated aromatic characteristics. In addition to Vermentino, for which the area is particularly suited, Masone Mannu wines also include other prized white wines from Sardinia, such as Malvasia, as well as reds such as Cannonau. Name and address of producer/distributor: Masone Mannu - Canale SS 199 – 07020 MONTI (OT). Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
