TASTING NOTES

La missione della cantina Bastianich è quello di capire la storia e la cultura del territorio e portarlo ad un nuovo livello, creando vini unici che parlano di luogo, ma, allo stesso tempo, mostrando notevole potenza, ed equilibrio. La regione del Friuli Venezia Giulia si trova nell'angolo nord-orientale d'Italia. La cantina Bastianich è costituita da 28 ettari. I vigneti sono tutti situati nei Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC in due zone distinte. La ponca è l'elemento caratterizzante di questo territorio collinare di origine eocenica, il Collio appunto, costituito pressoché integralmente da marna argillosa alternata a strati di arenaria. L'azienda nata nel 1997 coltiva sia varietà autoctone che alloctone, cercando di creare vini unici che parlano di territorio. Il Venezia Giulia Vespa Bianco è un vino bianco friulano di Bastianich, ottenuto da un'attenta selezione e assemblaggio di uve Chardonnay e Sauvignon. Le due varietà vengono fermentate separatamente per il 50% in acciaio e il 50% in botti di rovere. A fine fermentazione inizia un lungo periodo di batonage alternato da travasi, dopodiché viene assemblato ed imbottigliato. Affina ulteriormente in bottiglia per più di un anno. Il Vespa Bianco è di color giallo paglierino carico con riflessi dorati, al naso spiccano note di albicocca sotto spirito, fiori e miele. Grande mineralità e morbidezza al palato, un vino di grande eleganza e finezza. Da provare durante un aperitivo con amici e consigliatissimo l'abbinamento con carni bianche o verdure in pastella. The aim of the Azienda Bastianich winery is to understand the history and culture of the area and to enhance it, taking it to a new level. To do this, they strive to create unique wines that speak of the place and its unique characteristics, while showing remarkable strength and a very delicate balance. The knowledge and study of innovative techniques will lead you to taste highly appreciated Friulian wines, rich in character, the silent narrators of an ancient tradition. The Friuli-Venezia Giulia region is located in the north-eastern corner of Italy, and is especially famous for its mountain villages and landscapes. The large Bastianich winery consists of 28 hectares (about 70 acres) and almost all of its vineyards are located in the Colli Orientali, in the Friuli DOC region. The original Buttrio / Premariacco vineyard, on the other hand, is located in the southern hills of the DOC. Let yourself be won over by the taste of Friulian white wines and their unique balance.
