TASTING NOTES

Cantina Anselmi is located in Monteforte d'Alpone, in the province of Verona, a small town at the foot of the hills. The vines, exposed to the south, stretch out over 70 hectares of limestone and volcanic tuff on the highest parts of the Monteforte and Soave hills and the main grape variety cultivated is Garganega. This family has always been linked to the world of wine and the end of World War II, Roberto had to sell all the land he owned to take care of them. His son wanted to stay in the business, deciding to bottle for third parties, but it wasn't until his namesake, Nonno Roberto, that there was a turning point, selling the winery to invest in the purchase of several plots of land. Today, we can proudly say that Anselmi succeeded in his aim of producing wines characterised by a distinct territoriality where Garganega finds its ideal habitat. Veneto San Vincenzo is a Veneto white wine made from a selection of Garganega, Chardonnay and Sauvignon grapes from vineyards located in Monteforte. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel following by soaking on fine lees for about 6 months. San Vincenzo is a white wine that stands out for its fresh, savoury drinkability. Straw yellow in colour, on the nose it offers citrus, floral and fruity notes. In the mouth, it is dry, mineral and balanced. A drinkable wine, highly recommended as a pairing with fish and shellfish. Read more Read less
