Les Cretes si identifica nel panorama Valdostano per la costante ricerca della qualità nel lavoro in vigna, con particolare attenzione al terroir e alle caratteristiche delle uve, valorizzati poi in bottiglia. Valle d'Aosta DOP Fumin è costituito dalla varietà autoctona 100% Fumin, con diraspatura di uva refrigerata, fermentazione di 12 giorni in acciaio inox a temperatura di 24°C, con rimontaggi giornalieri. Maturazione di 12 mesi in rovere francese da 300l, è un vino che affina in bottiglia per 6 mesi. Il nome Fumin deriva dal colore grigio fumo dei suoi acini, ricchi di pruina che ricopre le uve e che aumenta il grado zuccherino al suo interno e protegge gli acini da attacchi batterici o parassitari in vigna. Rosso rubino intenso con riflessi violacei. Al naso fruttato, con sentori di cuoio e spezie. Di grande carattere, al palato è succoso e fragrante con tannini morbidi e note di vaniglia, ginepro e tabacco. Persistente, con liquirizia sul finale. Les Cretes

The Les Cretes company was founded in 1989 in Aymavilles, in Valle d’Aosta, and is now run by the Charrère family. Five generations of history and tradition, the winery is distinguished by a quest for extreme quality from the work in the vineyard to the attention in the winery where territory and variety are enhanced and emphasised in the bottle. The grapes cultivated are the main indigenous varieties of the region and some international varieties, such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The agronomic management of the vineyards is based on respect for the environment through the enhancement of the terroir, with a view to organic and sustainable viticulture, combining traditional cultivation techniques with innovation and technological research. The wines from the Les Cretes winery come from a cold, rocky, mountain microclimate, where work is carried out with the utmost care and attention, in a continuous quest for quality.
