TASTING NOTES

Di proprietà dei Marchesi Antinori, la cantina pugliese Tormaresca è una realtà produttiva coordinata con precisione dalla famiglia toscana, localizzata in una delle più belle zone dell’Alto Salento. Torcicorda ricorda gli strumenti utilizzati per la cura dei cavalli e la rigogliosità dei tralci e delle foglie del vitigno. Le uve 100% Primitivo vengono raccolte surmature, diraspate e pigiate per poi essere trasferite in serbatoi di acciaio inox per iniziare la fermentazione alcolica a temperatura controllata. La macerazione è gestita con rimontaggi delicati e delèstage. Primitivo Torcicorda prosegue poi il suo affinamento per circa 18 mesi prima di essere imbottigliato e messo in commercio. Al calice si presenta rosso rubino intenso con una leggera nuance violacea. Al naso prevalgono note di frutta rossa, amarena e prugna, che si uniscono a note di liquirizia, vaniglia e tabacco. Al palato è morbido e ampio, con una particolare struttura e tannicità. Tormaresca

The Cantina Tormaresca winery is divided into two main estates, located in two of the most important wine-growing areas of Puglia. The first, Tenuta Bocca di Lupo, is located in the D.O.C. zone of Castel del Monte, in the heart of the Bari Murgia. The second, Masseria Maìme, is located in the Salento area. In both cases, the hectares are cultivated with indigenous grapes, fully respecting the unique characteristics of the land and its precious minerals.
