TASTING NOTES

La Spinetta is a highly prestigious Italian winery that has its roots in two important Italian regions, Piedmont and Tuscany. Founded in the 1960s by the Rivetti family, Giuseppe and Lidia, two skilful farmers sought over time to blend tradition and innovation. Afterwards, their children Carlo, Bruno, Giorgio and Giovanna took over to carry on their parents' work, seeking to develop indigenous vines and respect for their territory. The Piedmont winery began with the production of white grape varieties. In fact, in 1977 the Rivetti brothers started the first production of Moscato, Bricco Quaglia and Biancospino, which were the first Moscato wines in Italy produced from a single vineyard. From the 1980s onwards, the company also started working with red grape varieties: Barbera, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo, respecting the terroir and carefully working some cru to produce excellent Piedmontese red wines. The project then continued in the 2000s in Tuscany with Casanova della Spinetta, cultivating Sangiovese. Moscato d'Asti DOCG Bricco Quaglia della Spinetta is produced from pure Moscato grapes with alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled autoclaves for about 3 months. Known to be the first Italian Moscato produced from a single vineyard, it has a beautiful deep straw yellow colour. The bouquet releases aromas of peach and sage with delicate notes of acacia honey. The flavour is full-bodied with hints of fresh fruit and herbs, the finish is clean and very fragrant. Ideal for a Sunday lunch, it goes well with desserts such as pandoro with mascarpone cream. LA CANTINA

La Spinetta

In the heart of Piedmont lies the La Spinetta winery, a true point of reference for the production of high-quality Piedmontese wines. Since its foundation, this family-run company has set itself the delicate goal of cultivating vines with full respect for the soil and its properties, avoiding the use of chemicals of any kind. Its organic and sustainable cultivation results in a final product of the highest quality, which will lead you to discover the most authentic side of Piedmont in every glass. Most of the vines have an average age of between 35 and 65 years: once this age is reached, it is possible to produce a wine with a compact and multifaceted taste, wonderfully complex, that will be able to tell you everything about the region in which it is born. Thanks to its strategic position and the care of the vines, the company is able to offer products such as Barolo and Barbaresco of the highest quality. Name and address of producer/distributor: La Spinetta - via Annunziata, 17 - 14054 - Castagnole delle Lanze AT. Products from this winery should be stored in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
