A collaborative project with Takashi Murakami designed for the 2025 holiday season. For both Dom Pérignon and Takashi Murakami, nature is a vital principle. The limited edition Vintage 2015 brings their visions together: in Dom Pérignon's creative philosophy, nature is the starting point and the means: grapes, terroir, climate, human precision, everything is orchestrated to translate the raw material into emotion. Murakami reformulates the codes of classical Japanese art through the lens of contemporary culture. On the bottles, the traditional depiction of the vineyard on the Dom Pérignon shield is transformed into a wonderful flowery landscape. On the gift boxes, the shield is framed by Murakami's vibrant flowers, blooming in a joyful celebration. Arranged side by side, the gift boxes create a modular floral composition, inviting collectors to participate, assemble, and extend the experience beyond the bottle.
The nose is full and volatile, a blend of flowers and fruit, followed by vegetal and mineral notes. The bouquet is tactile, a discreet invitation to follow nuances of white flowers, surrounded by the sweetness of apricot and mirabelle plum, then reaching rhubarb, mint and white pepper. On the palate, it is energetic and vibrant, with an elegant and tonic perlage. The finish converges in acidic and bitter notes, narrowing into spicy and pungent notes of ginger, tobacco and toasted aromas.
Its charm makes it elegant when paired with raw fish appetisers, steamed shellfish and delicate main courses.
To fully appreciate its style, this Champagne should be served at a temperature of 8/10°C.
