TASTING NOTES

Le Vigne di San Pietro is a small estate located on the morainic hills of San Pietro a Sommacampagna, between Verona and Lake Garda. The varieties present in the vineyards of Vigne di Santo Pietro are Garganega, Trebbiano, Trebbianello, Manzoni Bianco, Cortese for white berried grapes, Corvina, Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for red berried grapes. The Bardolino DOC delle Vigne di San Pietro, is a blend of Corvina, Merlot and Rondinella grapes, which are harvested by hand in early October. Red wine that ages in steel tanks for 6 months and ends its journey with a rest in bottle of at least 3 months. This is a Venetian red wine with a fine and delicate character that has a pale ruby red color. The freshness and fragrance of red fruits guide the nose, along with a floral note of violet. In the mouth emerges immediately this important freshness of drink, with flavors of unripe fruit such as currant, a slight spiciness of black pepper and a compound tannin. Ideal wine for every day, it goes very well with local meats. To fully appreciate its style, this wine should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16 ºC. Read more Read less
THE WINERY

Le Vigne di San Pietro

Along the San Pietro area, among the morainic hills of Lake Garda, lies the Vigne di San Pietro winery and their extraordinary wine production. From this painstaking work, the result of many studies, come high-quality Veneto wines. The clay and moraine soil, very calcareous and rich in minerals, is cultivated in full respect of its nature and characteristics. A land that has always been devoted to viticulture and that today offers cultivations of Bardolino and Valpolicella that can tell one of the most authentic sides of the Veneto in every glass.
