Fondata da Donato Giacosa, l'azienda Carlo Giacosa è situata nella zona del Barbaresco in 5 ettari di proprietà. Oggi l'azienda è gestita da Maria Grazia Giacosa che coltiva nelle proprie vigne varietà autoctone come Nebbiolo, Barbera e Dolcetto. Il Barbaresco Montefico è costituito da uve 100% Nebbiolo provenienti dal Cru Montefico a Barbaresco. Le uve fermentano in acciaio a temperatura controllata e affinano per 26 mesi in botti di rovere francese e per 3 mesi in contenitori di acciaio. Il Barbaresco Montefico della cantina Carlo Giacosa è un elegante vino rosso, alla vista si presenta con un bel colore rosso granato. Al naso il bouquet risulta intenso, molto elegante e floreale con note di piccoli frutti rossi maturi e confettura. Armonico, pieno, equilibrato e dotato di buona struttura, il Barbaresco Montefico è perfetto da degustare insieme a secondi piatti a base di carne o a formaggi di ben stagionati.
