Alois Lageder estate is one of the most famous estates in Alto Adige. Having been involved in viticulture since the late 19th century, the Lageder family has been working in the area applying biodynamic principles for a more natural and sustainable agriculture that can preserve environmental biodiversity and produce wines from the natural process of must transformation. Moscato Giallo "Vogelmaier" is named after the farm of the same name and is made from Moscato Giallo grapes grown at an altitude of between 300 and 400 metres on light, well-draining soils. The grapes are soft-pressed, before fermenting the must in stainless steel vats and ageing the wine for 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Delicate straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections, this wine delivers intense, floral aromas with an intriguing aromatic profile and hints of citrus and sweet spices. Distinctly aromatic on the palate, yet full and satisfying with a dry finish and lively freshness. A very pleasant, balanced and intense wine that is well suited for drinking with savoury dishes such as smoked fish or white meats.
